Comment:
Remember the days when Mtv was Music Television? Before Real World, Becoming, Spyder Games, Undressed and whatever other crap was null and Music Television played Music. One hour of music is played per day! And its hosted by Carson Daly, the worlds most massive tool. God.....music on television, those were the days.Feedback:
Abbie, i couldn't agree with you more.
In their attempt to make MTV a bit more than "just radio with pictures", they have gone too far with alternate programming. I mean, some of the shows aren't even music related. Carson Daily has become a parody of himself. If anyone disagrees, I invite you to watch him today. Nice mix is this! *For related titles check out my TEACHER's PET: A Retro 80s Compilation

And what's with MTV kissing it's own ass all the time..."Our 20 Most Outrageous Moments" and they claim every one of them was a generation-defining moment.
God, If I had a dollar for everytime my friends and I have had this discussion..the worst part is when they DO play a video you can't tape it because some moron comes on and says something like "WHUSSUP, I'm JaLEEZA from DEE-Troit and I wanna hear d-12 cause M-Nem (sic) is a hottie and they my boys..WHOOOO!!"..I haven't got cable in my new house yet, so I still recieve M2 since they took over the BOX..So much better..last weekend they even played a TRAVIS concert!! I remember watching blocks of videos of MTV, when the only 2 shows were Remote control and Half-hour comedy hour..MTV SUCKS NOW, Period!
I'd give my right, wait no, LEFT arm to have MTV2 instead TRLvision.
Right on Abbie. MTV is horseshit! Carson is a toad. M2 is much better, and my cable system doesn't even get it. Grrrr. Michael Steinmetz is absolutely right, about some moron coming on and saying hi to his/her friends right over the video. MTV has done everything in its power to make videos completely meaningless. There's always VH1, but even they are following down MTV's path. Less and less music.
I knew MTV was dead a long time ago: one day I flipped between MTV, VH1 and V66 (local Boston station) and they were ALL playing "Dancing On The Ceiling" by Lionel Richie. That was 1986!
Sweet. Carson Daly IS the antichrist. And Breakfast at Tiffany's is my favorite song. :-)
