Comment:
Whoa; how'd an Indie Rock mix get in HERE?? My 1st shot out of the Experimental/Ambient box in a [long] while. Actually began as a query in Discussion Forum when Blackadder asked as to the origins of "Arab Strap." In locating the answer, I picked up all these cool tunes. Wirelessly downloaded mp3's, except for the Lemonheads track ( I've never hit epitonic up for their Indie Rock tracks--so it was a 'kid-in-the-candy-store sorta' thing), 'lost-in-the-crowd' follows an acoustic-electric Indie path that gets increasingly all electric @ as you reach each side's end. The Low, Arab Strap, Spokane, Pinback and Jets to Brazil trax are particularly hip. ~ :-p
Feedback:
Looks good. I think I might like this. By the way this changes everything I know about you. I thought you would be the last one on AOTM to put Modest Mouse on a mix. Woe is me. :)
Pops' still got it!
Gabba Gabba one of us one of us!
"Woe," Tonio', am ALL of us !!!
oh, epitonic. so evil, but so good. points for a quality mix.
hey, wow! I'm dancing by myself. in a very off-kilter, hip, indie sort of way. I'm so digging this.
wow! an indie rock mix from the gab labber! surprising, but in a nice way! songs 1 and two on the first side seem to go very well together..lovely.
it's even more humbling for the rest of us when the beacon of experimental/ambient soundscapes decides to just kinda, you know, throw together a little indie masterpiece (sigh).
