basically, i just ran out of space. i desperately wanted to start with "ferry across the mersey" and obviously i had to end it with "you'll never walk alone", so there wasn't space for everything i could have included. bands i left out include the boo radleys, space, mansun, gomez, real people and lots of less well known but equally diverse and exciting groups.

additionally, the idea was to compare and contrast the two cities. and though manchester has produced some truly great bands, i don't think its ever produced quite the breadth of talent that liverpool has. and if i'm kinda bending the rules by including copey (or even thinking about gomez and mansun, from southport and chester) then much the same can be said about "manchester" bands like oasis and the inspiral carpets :)

Superb! I'd love to trade for this! (Even if there's no Dalek I Love You!)
