Comment:

I'm more or less at a loss to explain who/what Sloan is... suffice it to say that they're a band who meant little to me prior to the past year or so, even though I had both Smeared (which really has not grabbed me to this day) and Twice Removed (which is actually my favorite album of theirs) when they were initially released. Anyone who's a fan of pop or rock and roll should probably check them out, however.

i absolutely adore "I am the Cancer". i guess you could explain Sloan as "Canadian". it's true, scientific, and to the point. although not entirely accurate. a great sampling of the canadian fellows.....cheers.

Hee hee hee, hoo hoo hoo... Oh yeah, Sloan. "Canadian", definitely "Canadian". As a random non-sequitur, Eric's Trip is playing my neck of the woods next weekend. I'm strangely excited considering they were a band I never really got into.

A very surprising move in not including "Money City Maniacs", but a n excellent mix regardless! (Especially since you tipped the hat to the criminally overlooked "Chester The Molester")

i agree with Spoon. I Am The Cancer is one of my favourite Sloan songs (along with Snowsuit Sound :). i probably would've replaced Penpals with IATC. Still, a great mix :)

Excellent mix dude! Sloan has been one of my favorite bands for a while and they really should be more popular than they are. Here in Canada they're overshadowed by the most overrated band ever. I don't wanna mention any initials but I'm talking about the Tragically Hip. They're fine but "it's not the band I hate, it's their fans..."
