Wow this most be a really uncool mix. I have noticed people do not like to respond to mixes that include The Police. Could this have anything to do with the association with Sting? Just wonderen.
In a recent informal poll, I asked people who they thought the biggest asshole in rock music is. Overwhelmingly, Sting beat out Bono, Michael Stipe & Peter Gabriel. Gotta admit, I still dig that first Police LP though, as well as a few other things on this mix that I'd never admit to in public.
That was sort of basic idea behind this mix. Guilty pleasures if you will. They have all been mentioned lately, and I had to force myself to relisten to them. When I did I was pleasently surprised at the quality of the songs. I think they could all be remade and turned into hits.
