Comment:

I spent more time on this compilation than any of the others... So as to fit as many songs as possible on an 80 minute disc, I used Sound Blaster Wave Studio to edit the hell out of a bunch of these songs. Some I just faded out early, while others were alleviated of long intrumental pasages and/or guitar solos... Truth be told it took more time and energy than any sane human should be willing to spend to make the bloody thing. I am embarrassed for myself. So... here are the fruits of my ill-placed labor: A chronological single disc condensation of John Lydon's PIL output. Songs were taken from each of the studio albums, plus a couple of BBC recordings from the box set. I think I did a fair job balancing the experimantal early material with the (more accessible) later college radio hits, and I don't think I missed too many essentials. The cover image is Klee's Dream City.

awesome.... awesome. i think that P.I.L. are kinda underrated... granted, not everything was great, but the stuff that was good, was very, VERY good. i like your choices and sequencing. extra gold star for using Klee as the cover art. your single artists mixes are tip-top. i always look forward to the next one...

Woo! Yes, PIL have definitely fallen from grace over the last decade. Nice to see them being remembered here...
