This tape was an "intro to alt.country" tape... plus some countryish indie rock rarities, so that the listener gets suckered into country.

I love this mix! As is my custom with mixes I love, I download all the songs from the Web and make a disc so that I get the exact mix (couldn't find the Pedro the Lion song so downloaded "Lullaby" by them...still an awesome tune). I've been listening to the disc all morning...great stuff! Thanks for turning me on to some great new artists and giving me the inspiration to make a sequel to this mix, which I'll post soon.

Hmm. Are you sure that Pedro the Lion song is called "Tip of my Tongue"? I've never heard of it and can't find it either, but the song "Almost There" has that lyric, so maybe that's the one? If so, it is a pretty great song (as are lots on this tape!).
