Comment:

Once again our singer has asked me to make him a mix tape of stuff that has been influencing me lately. I have to say that I have been listening to a hell of a lot of Van Morrison, but this stuff too. Astral Weeks is an amazing album!

Astral Weeks is probably my favorite album all around. It has a certain dark acoustic feel to it but each song is it's own and you can't just listen to one song. Gotta go straight through no matter what. Not drawn out or over produced. Just right.

Astral Weeks is somewhere in my top 11 or 12 albums, the last time I checked. Breathtaking. A lot of great stuff on this mix, too.

Although I agree with Hooha, I have to say that intersplicing Astral Weeks with Eric Dolphy's Out to Lunch makes for a very interesting listening experience. Oh, and I also agree that it is one of the greatest albums of all time.

I've never liked "Astral Weeks"... however, I most certainly do approve of the presence of "Whole Wide World" and "Stephanie Says" here.
