This was inspired after talking to a friend about the influence of older artists on today's artists. I felt that Built to Spill's brilliant use of these song lyrics deserved to have all of the songs in one place as a point of reference.I'm about 95% sure that these are the songs that B.T.S had in mind. If anyone knows otherwise, or if I missed something, please let me know.

Cool idea. And "You Were Right" is such a great song...the way the lyrics from all of those other songs fit together so seamlessly, and how a string of rock-and-pop clichTes can suddenly sound like the most profound, most Moses-lugging-the-tablets-down-the-mountain, most meaningful words ever penned. So, as I said, cool. :)
