Comment:

i'm off to college in 2 days, it's only 45 minutes away but for someone who's spent most of their life in the same town it's a strange thing. this is the first "goodbye" mix. some of the songs reflect that, others have a special meaning between me & my sister, who i'll be living without for the first time and who will be receiving the first copy of this tape, others are just recent favorites, and others were just an excuse to put in the medley. I resurrected my old stereo for that, with a fader on the cd player and a non-logic pause button and some of the transitions sound very nice (i love the phantom to ltj especially heh). the ending is the soliloquoy from the final episode of TWY, and the greatest farewell to suburban adolescence ever put in words. I planned to end the mix with that yesterday, and today before i finished it that episode was on TV. fate works in mysterious ways.

That final episode makes me sob each and every time I see it! This is a great mix. Your sister will love it.
