Comment:
This is a general mix of glam and surrounding styles, skewed towards the trashy, kinky, or sexually ambiguous elements of the music (thus, I ignored things like Sweet and Slade, which just don't have that underbelly-of-rock feeling). Along with the Bowie (admittedly a whole lot, but he blew everyone else away!) and such, I threw in raunchy proto-punk, modern glitter exponents, and a bit of goth( as indebted to glam as anything). Finally, I saved some room for Rocky and Hedwig, proof that rocking theater and theatrical rock are entirely interchangeable. The title is a line from the last song, "Midnight Radio."Feedback:
Bowie, Manson, RHPS, Cure, Iggy, Bauhaus . . . Wunderbar! I love the theme.
I love what you've done here. It's always nice to see good glam make an appearance.
*Lovely* mix! Music, glitter, and boys in eyeliner. Tasty. ^_^
Wow, great choices-Bowie...always good, and Moonage Daydream is one of his best-as is Rebel Rebel-at least, IMO-Virginia Plain, Sweet Transvestite, Wig in a Box (my fave Hedwig song), All the Young Dudes, T-Rex, the fab Fascination Street-Mungo City, divine...what a great mix!!
This is fucking awesome.
