I made this mix for Rob, as an introduction to Dusty besides what is on Dusty In Memphis, which he already has. Having an extensive collection of her music, it was difficult to keep it to 80 minutes. To me, she is the greatest female vocalist of all time, not to mention my all-time favorite artist. Title comes from "Magic Garden."

The album or the song? I must admit, the song doesn't do much for me away from the context of the album. I remember I had a hard time leaving off songs from the album, but I was trying for a variety of styles on this mix, as I thought of it as a Dusty primer.

I love Dusty too, Jana. I would like this and the second volume at some point. I have most of vol1 already, but it would make a great 2CD set!

This is an incredible mix. I am the roommate of Adam Bristor of AOTM who received it from you recently. I've been listening to it, and have completely fallen in love with Dusty. I plan to buy Dusty in Memphis when I next get paid. Thanks so much for making such a wonderful mix!!!
