2-7-68: Phoniex, Az.-Linda Maria Ault killed herself.
Policemen quoted her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ault. " Linda failed to return home from a dance in Tempe Friday night. On Saturday she admitted she had spent the night with an Air Force Lt.
"The Aults decided on a punishment that would "Wake Linda Up". They ordered her to shoot the dog she had owned about 2 yrs. On Sunday the Aults and Linda took the dog into the desert near their home. They had the girl dig a shallow grave. Then Mrs. Ault grasped the dog between her hands, and Mr. Ault gave his daughter a .22 caliber pistol and told her to shoot the dog. Instead, the girl put the pistol to her right temple and shot herself."
The Police said, "there were no charges that could be filed against the parents except possibly cruelty to animals."

Forgot where I heard this but this kid took a buncha pills but that didn't work so he shot himself in the head and he was still alive. Then slit his own throat and he was still alive so he called for an ambulence. Where did I hear that story? Shit, can't remember...

Then there's the one about the man who ingested poison, tied a rope around his neck and the other one to a branch on a cliff wall and tried to shoot himself in the head as he jumped (clearly the man was taking no chances)... He jumps... He shoots... He misses his head... He hits the rope instead... He lands in the ocean... He swallows enough saltwater to make him throw up the poison he had ingested... And (I believe) from being in the cold water dies of pneumonia a few weeks later. Wish I could remember where I heard that one... Or if there's any truth to it at all... Good mix by the way :-D
