Comment:

I was driving home from work listening to talk radio. A woman discussed her interviews with Necrophiliacs. I had always said I wanted to be cremated, but never as much as I wanted to be after listening to her! I made this mix to accompany a letter to a friend concerning this topic, so I was rushed and didn't have as much time to research as I would have liked. The first four songs fit perfectly, but I wish I'd left the Ben Harper song off. Only the first line has anything to do with burning. Elvis Costello's song should have been closer to the beginning. Also, a lot of these songs sound good by title, but don't really have much to do with the theme. I'd like to make a revised copy and would welcome any suggestions if you know any songs that would sound great in the background while I'm being torched. :) I do realize however, that the funeral home will probably not play this....

I don't know about songs about burning, but "Code Blue" by TSOL is about necrophilia. I don't know if that helps at all, though.

Well,Jake, even though this CD was inspired by necrophilia, I think I'd rather leave it out of the play list. The idea is to AVOID necrophilia at all cost. :) But, if I ever decide to make a "love the dead" CD I'll be sure to include it, thanks.

You need to add "The Last Drink" by the Odds. "Carrying your ashes from bar to bar; I'm in a mess and you're in a mason jar" .... "You were right there in the urn, light as a feather; if my hands weren't shaky I'd glue you back together"

sorry...i'm in a too gooder mood to be serious. I want "I'm Going Back There Some Day", the song gonzo sings in the original muppet movie, to be played at my funeral.

cool mix. why not write in your will that you want this played when (or at least after) you get cremated?
