awesome mix. other than the sell out bands (american hi-fi, sr-71, sum 41, lifehouse, incubus, blink182) everything else is good. esp the promise ring.

Thanks. And yeah, but the sell-out bands have some songs that satisfy my super-sweet pop tooth, with rock. And Sum 41 is pretty good, probly my favorite band of this year. sr-71 is pretty horrid, lifehouse is just plain awful. I'm okay with American hi-fi, if only because of their vid for "Flavor". Promise Ring is a new-to-me fave from last fall. Thanks to Napster, I purchased 2 albums, went to their show in SF and bought the Electric Pink EP there. Without Napster, I'd still not have heard them. Radio in SF sucks.

**Incubus and sum-41are not sellout bands, they are just popular now.....how can that be deemed "selling out"?! Even though I am only a mild fan of both, i appreciate their music and I especially respect their originality.**
I love this mix too, nice work Sam. =)

and what difference does it make even if they *were* "sellout bands"? If YOU like them, or the person you make the mix for likes them...that's all that really matters! It's YOUR mix...

True, Amanda. True. I could go on about how "sellout" is more associated with the "punk ethic" than anything, and how I would probably be just fine "selling out" to get to play festivals worldwide and have one of my songs on the radio and have fans walking around with my band's t-shirts on. But I won't, 'cause it's been overhashed out before. ;)

I beg to differ! Endicott! Heat of the Moment!! All for Leyna!!! And that's just on your latest mix, "AACK"! Nice work. That one actually takes *me* back.... :)

Promise Ring, good band.
You should also check Sense Field
and Texas Is The Reason. You won't be
dissappointed.
