I'm glad to see that you went the other way with your mixes..I started making a mix of songs about hatred and war, but then decided that my heart wasn't in it...Great job!

We all are coping in our own ways. I haven't been able to think about making mixes since the disaster. I heard that when Belle and Sebastian played in Portland after the news came in, they started their set with "Turn Turn Turn" (which i am sure they picked up that day, since they had been opening their shows with "Leader of the Pack"). i keep thinking about how appropriate that was for the situation--12 people from overseas basically trapped in the US for now, and uncertain of safety on their way back home--for two hours, they made some kids in Portland think about something else. Take care.

This is a touching mix...there have been songs going through my head, but I haven't enough brains to put them together yet...

i keep trying to think of the right songs to help me deal with all of this...i came up with ani's version of amazing grace...john lennon..rem. the only other song i keep thinking of is u2 "trying to throw your arms around the world". great mix.

I am really happy that you used Bullet the blue sky - i was wondering if I was wrong using it on my own mix but i loved on Rattle & Hum they used The star spangled banner just before it - your mix captures the emotions and sadness the nation seems to feel.
