Comment:

haven't done a mix in a while, but i thought this was an appropriate time. i moved to new york city this august and had the unique experience of watching the south tower crumble to the ground from where i stood, at 9th and 5th avenue. it took me until now to really get my thoughts together and that fragmentation may be evident here...the first side is quite angry and militant, the second side more introspective, with a little comedic relief at the end. the first side begins with a 50-second excerpt of "the battle hymn of the republic" for irony's sake. (apologies for any similarity this might bear to other WTC mixes. something borrowed something blue...)

i bet the view you saw wasn't much different from the one i had at 6th and 2nd Ave. . . i'd love to hear the second side. very intriguing. . . :)
