Comment:
Taking a little break from the Rock Snob Series to catch-up with some tape swap commitments. This one has a little splattering of stuff from the sixties thru today. Dug up some stuff I hadn't heard in a good long while to throw upon the mix. Has a strong pop bent.
Feedback:
I like this. A lot.
This is DEFINITELY great. Nice Merry-Go-Round choice.
Yipee - I can't wait to get this! Even though I only know about 1/2 to 3/4 of these artists, I'm sure I will love it. Lovely cover art, too.
very cruisy indeed. splendiferous one could say
holy shit! the merry-go-round. where do you people find this stuff?
If you need Merry-Go-Round stuff, Brandt, I've got everything that they recorded... I'm actually planning on doing an Emitt Rhodes/Merry-Go-Round comp in the next couple of days, if you're interested.
the mojo men and vejtables were underrated california sound, groovies and edmunds a natural pair, one of my favorite blondie tracks ever, the royal guardsmen of snoopy and red baron fame?, love the murderous only ones/uncle lou parlay, a lovely dolls cut to wind up and tons o' great stuff inbetween. a thing of beauty. i'd love to do another deal sometime.
