Comment:
Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli both fell in love thanks to Josephine Baker. Later, many American jazz musicians fell in love with France and made their home there. Check out this selection of their Parisian recordings, made at a time when French listeners were discovering Miles Davis in "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" and Art Blakey in "Les Liaisons dangereuses." French singers were quick to pick up on these new rhythms.
