Comment:

A girl who lives in New York City wakes up late for work one morning in September. She works at the World Trade Centers. Unbeknownst to her while she was still sleeping 4 planes have been hijacked. The people on those planes are terrified, shocked, scared. On her way to work she looks up at the Manhattan Skyline and marvels at the size and majesty of the towers. And then all of a sudden she sees a plane, a jet, hit one of the towers. She joins the crowds watching and praying...calls her family in Kansas City to let them know what's going on. The towers fall. She goes home, thankful that she was late but sad for all of those she knew that may have been lost...unsure of where the world is headed. She sees her President declaring war, war on terrorism. She sees the countries airlines grounded...finally she falls asleep in front of the TV. When she wakes up late in the night she sees a strange glow in the sky...it's the fires still burning. In the next days she sees terrible things happen, innocent citizens the victims of random acts of violence because of their nationality...but she still loves New York, and she'll continue to live there.

This is very impressive, from the art to the description back to the mix itself. I agree that this is the best 9/11 mix I've seen here.

Nice. Anthrax seems kinda relevant now as well. But John Mellencamp? Man, that guy sucks ass. My housemate was actually in NYC at the time and set his alarm to visit the trade centre. He and everyone else is just thankful he's such a lazy bastard and slept through the wake-up call.

The use of the Anthrax song wasn't just a fluke, believe me....and John Mellencamp is an extremely talented artist, so keep that thought to yourself.

Nice production with fine attention to detail.

The David Kitt song is haunting -- I've got it on repeat here.

Kudos on a job well done.

Thanks for the message!
I never realized until just recently that the Kings Of Convenience track is actually an A-Ha cover! Wow...and it way outstrips the original version.
