This mix was made in response to a comment on this site that all Hip-Hop was "ooh shake your ass, bitch ass ho's on tha dance flo' ". Now I'm not gonna sit here and claim that there isn't any like that - there tons, hell, there may be some on this mix. anyway, this is my defense. Classic, intelligent, talented. From the roots of Rap in the 70s with the Last Poets all the way to the latest from Dilated Peoples. Particularly catch the Rakim track to hear the best MC to ever grace the mic. By the way, I know this isn't comprehensive.

i agree with you, my mix too can be a rebuttal for that comment...hip hop can be and is very positive...every genre and culture has a positive and negative side. =)
