Comment:
I assembled this mix while waiting for the full release of their latest album. (I had a pre-release sampler, hence the inclusion of "Oooh" and "Foolin'.") All De La albums are represented, although the tracks from the first album (as much as I like it) sound a little light mixed in with the later, heavier stuff. I think this mix opens pretty strong, everyone that's heard it gets right in the groove with "Breakadawn." "Foolin'" seems to be a strong finish as well (the "Outro" is the last skit from "De La Soul Is Dead"). I had to leave out a few other favorites from "..Is Dead" and "Buhloone" to get a good mix of their career, but otherwise I think it's pretty complete.Feedback:
"Rollerskating Jam..." is my favourite De La Soul song. Have you heard "Show Me" by Mint Royale featuring Pos? Having gone through your mixes, I doubt there's not a lot you haven't heard but if you've not, I highly - HIGHLY - recommend it.
