Comment:

After treating myself to my own Ray Dennis Steckler film fest, I felt the "inspired" need to create such a mix. The Hieno track is a fun little medley of his "hits" featuring a) "Die lustigen Holzhacker bub'n" b) "Die Schwarze Barbara" c) Karamba, Karacho, ein Whisky d) Mohikana Shalali e) Carnival In Rio f) Blau bluht der Enzian g) Tampico. The Jarmolettes do a great soul version of "Yes We Have No Banana's" and perhaps one of the few R&B(or any genre) songs about how "yum-yum-yum" sardines are.

Hmmm... well, I don't know a hell of a lot of these, but I *love* the Manson tune (as my "Lipstick" mix from way back will attest) and am also partial to the Mothers and Python bits... I must admit that I've never "gotten" the Shaggs, but hey, to each his/her own. I've been wrong before.

Dada. Pure dada, sir!! I do like... especially that cover. Julie London vs. Frank Zappa: Sounds like a cage match from Dada-land. Good work - I'm left scratching my head.

"Rat Pfink a Boo Boo" is one of the finest films yet made. It's too bad the disc which, judging from the selections here we evidently both own ("Mondo Movie Music"), doesn't contain the amazing surf-rock tune played on the soundtrack as the heroes hurtle down the road on the Ratcycle. But you can't have everything, I guess.
