Comment:
This is a mix I made for a fellow old skool enthusiast friend. I plan to make a companion tape that hits some of the older harder, and/or less mainstream stuff (eg. NWA, Grandmaster Flash, Roots, PE, De La Soul, Tribe etc...). There are some significant omissions from this mix but that's always the challenge of the medium...Feedback:
No PM Dawn???
PM Dawn definitely has merit. Unfortunately, I don't think I own any. I might have Set Adrift on Memory Bliss on an old compilation disc but that's it. Besides, it might fit in better in an "enlightened" section on the companion with the likes of Tribe, De La Soul, Diggable Planets etc...
Alternate title: Songs I Loved in 4th Grade. Nostalgia trips are great.
