Comment:
this mix is for peter millar. some bands were requested and the rest were of my own accord.. most notably **the love generation**, todd thibaud (i know, i know, an xmas song on a tape is a super duper no-no - it's not even super xmas-ey, not like jingle bells. but i always rejoice when christmastime brings me occasion to play this song.) from bubblegum to sky, who are quite possibly one of the best (and oft-overlooked) poppiest bands i've ever heard. hood - if i were a band, and all of my songs sounded like 'year of..', i would be oh so very pleased with myself. and of course the lucksmiths' 'myopic friends' - pure pop bliss. sigh. on the whole it isn't the indiepop-based tape i meant to make, but i think (hope) he'll like it just as much.Feedback:
very nice! and have you heard ciao bella jaime? and i think pete will LOVE this...
whoops.. i think ciao bella was another band he'd requested. thanks alot brandt.. ;)
This is lovely, lovely, lovely.
Sorry I'm a few days behind on my feedback, but I love this (as well as the tambourine mix). I share your admiration for all things poppy. I'll have to check out From Bubblegum to Sky based on your comments.
