What a journey these two eclectic individuals, Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse, have been on to finally come together as Gnarls Barkley. Known for his left-of-center persona, style, and many unique video characters, Cee-Lo has always stood out among his hip-hop peers. As a cornerstone member of Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo Green played a pivotal role in delivering the sound and culture of the Dirty South to pop culture. A collaboration with Cee-Lo and the creatively talented producer Danger Mouse, who is known for his GRAMMY-nominated work on the Gorillaz album and his bootleg mash-ups such as The Grey Album (which mixed the Beatles with Jay-Z), led to an enormous smash-of-a-first-single, “Crazy,” and what may be a favorite choice for album of the year.
