Comment:

july 2001. made for sienna. i always end up using the same sarge song on my mixes. cornish in a turtleneck and complexer are friends of friends. the mike viola & the candy butchers track is from an unreleased album. and the macy gray cover is, well, really cute. i asked doug why he chose the song and he told me some darling story about how he saw the video on mtv and called his girlfriend over to watch it and then called a band member on the phone 'cause he was so taken by the video. well. it was a cuter story when he told it.

But what a great Sarge song it is! A bit like the Fastbacks jamming with Heavenly. I love the Dressy Bessy song which proceeds it too, which I first heard in the soundtrack to "But I'm A Cheeleader."

Oh gee, I must have used this list to compile band names to llok up once... I've spent a while trying to find Complexer and Cornish mp3s, and now I read that they are friends of friends... ha ha, okay, taking those off my list!
