Why cassette? Why? why? Is there anyway to get these superb mixes onto CD? I have no tape deck, and am not going back. But tapes like this make me reconsider.

There's just something about 90 minutes & "2 Sides"; each side a story unto itself; each side starting slowly and gradually building speed and noise volume...what more can I say?? (well, as an aging Lit. Major, volumes, I guess-but I'll stop here...{sorry...maybe, 1 day, mini-discs or memory sticks} ~:-p

I agree about cassettes; CDs just aren't the same when it comes to mixes. By the way, this looks (sounds) great.

Yup, I 3rd the comments about the 2 sides thing with tapes - nothing beats it. Plus, I don't own a burner yet! Lovely cover art too.

I guess I lose on this one. The bad thing is I have like 200 tapes, i just cant deal with the hiss and the wear. I also like cds cus I can burn them fast without losing much quality. Can you still buy tape players? Do any of you still rock the 8-track?

I download most of my music or order CDs online...except for the derek bailey track, above, this one is all mp3; downloaded to laptop & jacked directly into stereo cassette deck...
