Comment:
This is my first stab at a narrative mix using titles instead of lyrics. This mix started out as a one CD look at the frustrations of the Boston singles scene, then became a double CD, and then mutated into a trilogy covering the pickup, sex and morning after. I had such fun with the title narratives on the sex disc that it had to be split into foreplay & intercourse...I generally avoided using titles that were already explicit, with two big exceptions on the foreplay mix (Zappa & Momus, they were just too perfect). As expected with a title-driven mix, there are some totally bizarre shifts, and I'm not sure how this will play out when I finally listen to them straight through. However, with a few exceptions, it's all pretty good music. Oh yeah, I'm particularly proud of the fact that out of the 85 songs in the "trilogy," I only needed to rob 10 off the Net because I didn't have them already.Feedback:
Excellent idea - especially knowing how much being single in Boston SUCKS
Dude, only the coolest man alive would attempt such an ambitious project you have my undying respect, and I have great, great amusement. :) These titles make great pickup lines, too...
