Comment:
this is digital (11101). another "very sinister xmas" tape. i think this may be the best one yet, because i wasn't all that inspired to make it when i did, but as i made it and some of the choices came to me, i was really happy how it all came together. in retrospect the dylan track should have been "ballad of a thin man" since that's what the momus track was about, and originally the lush song was going to be "de-luxe" (but was aborted due to technical difficulties) and the closer on side two was going to be "fearless" by pink floyd. and yes, i know how many people hate the push kings, but their early stuff wasn't bad--especially not the track here, which is from the pop american style comp.Feedback:
LOVELY. One of my very fave songs ("Tim...") by one of my fave bands (Of Montreal), coupled with your usual stellar selection. You are clearly angling to be the most prolific mixer on AotM, yet the mixes aren't suffering in quality. Kudos, Mr. Fundak.
wow. thanks for the kudos rob. that of montreal song was the one that hooked me on them (if only elf power could have gone the directions that of montreal has...) and your comment about prolific posting got me to realize that this is the 100th mix i've posted here. certainly not the last though...
a-yeahzers. this is prime-time mixsmithery. wire... da mice...and comet gain who I've heard or seen in about 5 yonks. HAHA. Mix aside (no disrepsect intended, chico) it's funny to see that Geoff Holland has disappeared, taking all his treasured comment-less mixes with him. I might have been a bit hard on the old fellow when I told him he was a bit of a hypocritcal loozler. Nah, actually, he was always a moaning old bastard.
BACK TO THIS MIX- it rocks like a riled racoon..

Where did I go, Juan? Aside for Juan's idiocy, another fine mix Brandt!
This is great, Brandt. Congrats on making yr 100th mxi.
*i* don't know how many people hate the push kings. why would they? and i don't think you're angling at all, i think it's all happening by default. so nyah. :_
I think Brandt understood that my "angling" remark was not even remotely intended as an insult...
wow, 100 mixes huh? that's the kind of thing most people, well myself anyway, only dream of!! another nice one...patsy cline rocks. well maybe not "ricks" per se... but she should be used more...in a mixing sense of used.
