God, I wish I'd saved the mix I made for my first time. And I'm glad I'm not the only freak who went through the trouble! Go on with your bad self, nice job.
don't put a big title on the side of the tape reading "the losing my virginity mix" or she will undoubtedly read the box and freak out,
hahaha rosie. i have mixed feelings on this mix...i think making a mix for losing you virginity may be counter-productive to actually losing your virginity and also feeds into the misconception that virginity actually "means" something (sorry, i'm an agnostic realist--i'd rather have good sex between two practiced individuals than ruminate on the horror that was "the first time") but i also acknowledge the importance of music in these situations. it sets the mood (although the mood will be significantly altered if this mix is played in a car) and will probably help through the clumsy inexperience that goes with every first time. and if i was going to put "closer" on this mix at all, i'd use the joy division version, but then again i'm a pretentious ass that loathes NIN. but some of these tracks are choice...

kevin, i believe so. you need to be subtle. i'm sure saying "hey, we're about to do it so i need to put this tape in i made for the first time i ever do it" would have the same effect as condoms lining the case. decorate it AFTER you do it. for now, just put it in a plain brown wrapper... ;)

it's wierd, it wasn't planned but i lost my virginity to several songs that made it pretty odd, like 'stinkfist' by tool.
