Comment:
I'm starting to run out of things to say in my blurbs here. A landmark year for indie rock, where Pavement actually threatened to get a big radio hit and some goofy mumbly folk satirist from California named Beck found himself the next big thing and Johnny Cash found himself a hit again amongst the college set. Also: Nas before he fell off, Common before some surf band made him drop the 'Sense' from his name, Bikini Kill on FIRE, Goldie bringing forth more jungle, a few good emo songs (!) and Blur getting their freak on. At least half of these acts have outlasted Newt Gingrich.UPDATE 12-18-02: My god, I actually used to have emo on this comp! Also, I gotta rep Beck '96. Nas takes over comp title duties.
Feedback:
Love the Blur, GvsB, Sebadoh, Pavement, Black Francis and man in black picks. Oh, and thank goodness for your last comment (newt).
