Comment:

this is digital (100000) a tribute mix for the late george harrison. contains my favorite george harrison songs as well as songs by harrison collaborators and songs about rock n roll in general. while i may rave about belle and sebastian and trembling blue stars and what not, i think the first band i loved was the beatles, since my mom would play them when i was in my crib as a baby. they're the ones that fostered my love of pop music and hopefully this can serve as a small thank you and goodbye to one of the men who made that possible.

A nice tribute to the Beatles' dark horse, Brandt. I like the inclusion of "I Am the Cosmos" by Chris Bell, who was sort of the dark horse in Big Star.

this is quite moving. i think it's cool you also included songs about the music Mr. Harrison played, music that lifted a lot of people up, if only for a brief time. VU's "rock and roll" is simply a glorious song.

it would also have been nice to include the hare krishna mantra on the radha album that george produced. just a suggestion.

A fitting tribute to the late Mr. Harrison (Rest In Peace). Great work. I figure some Ravi Shankar, Derik & the Dominoes (Clapton was a close friend and Layla was written for Patti) and some Delaney & Bonnie would have been appropriate...
