Comment:
This is the first volume of my big mix project for the year: The Butt-Rock Canon. It's a 12-CD set, one CD per year, of the best hard rock and heavy metal singles (no more than two per artist per year). Nothing "underground" here; it's 100% Guilty Pleasures.1980 features some solid British metal and a few arena-rock staples, but you can smell the desperation in my setlist when Tom Petty gets two slots. (Not that Tom Petty isn't rawkin', but he isn't butt-rawkin'.)
Feedback:
Motorhead are a guilty pleasure? (Nice mix, BTW)
