The best, or at least the most popular, hard rock and metal of 1985. Volume 6 of the Butt-Rock Canon.

1985 is not the "must-have" year of this collection. It's a filler, filler night here. Even so, it's worth pointing out something odd: unlike a lot of great music from the 80s, good butt-rock almost never came from one-hit wonders. The hard and the heavy have remarkably consistent, long-lived output. The most glaring exception? It's track number one. That was Autograph, folks, still waiting to cash in their remaining ten-and-a-half minutes of fame.
