Comment:
i made this for my girlfriend recently. it's part of my ongoing campaign to get her into the music i like.Feedback:
Good luck on your campaign! Are the mixes we make for others a veiled (and often futile) attempt to get them to convert to our taste in music? Discuss.
I like to think a mix made for another person falls into one of three categories: 1) Hidden messages (please please please please love my mix, but most importantly, love me) 2) something personal between good friends, such as a time capsule or compilation of songs by an artist both friends love, or 3) a veiled (and often futile) attempt to convert their taste in music :)
seems like a control issue to me! ;o)
I agree with both Ion and Ariana in this analysis. :-)
so do i. i don't know where the control guy's coming from. also, it doesn't have to sound as suspicious as "a veiled attempt." the whole reason we make mixes for people is because we hope they'll like them.
Well, that's why I love to trade - to introduce others to *my* music, and to hear what they have to offer - while I may not love the whole mix they gave me, usually there will be a lot that I will like, so, in turn, it then becomes *my* music all over again!
