Comment:

This is a quick mix I made when there was some bad stuff going on and I was feeling *very* negative. These songs helped fuel the fire... It doesn't flow very well but it does the trick.

Yeah, I meant to say that I was particularly excited by your Black Flag and Minor Threat picks... although the Descendents are one of my very, very fave bands of all-time (in this case, though, I just prefer their earlier stuff, but this is no knock on your mix).

Yeah, I much prefer their earlier stuff too. (But the drums on Everything Sucks are sooooo good!) It was very All-ish, but, that's probably pretty hard to avoid. All is fun too, though. :)

All is definitely cool, but they lack a little something that the Descendents had in their prime... Milo, maybe. heh

Milo added punch, lots of it too. The All guy (Chad?) adds poppishness (haha) and a sort of smoothness. But that "punch" is why old Descendents were so freakin cool. :)

I actually think that Milo's voice is just "richer", ya know? There's more depth to it... and I think that on stuff like "In Love This Way", "Silly Girl" or "Get the Time" it's poppier than Chad will ever be. If you ask me, All's best vocalist was Scott Reynolds, the mid-period guy (Allroy's Revenge, Allroy Saves, Percolator)...
