Comment:

This is Volume 1 in my attempt to chronicle all of
the best songs of an entire decade. Of course, there
will always be some holes (I tend not to have access
to a lot of the hip-hop classics), but, hey, these
tapes are squarely like a fantasy top 40 radio
station where the Stone Roses and the Jam were
right next to INXS and Simple Minds. That only
happened overseas.
