Comment:

this is digital (100100). i thought that this tape might mark an end to the "digital" series (or at least put it on hiatus) because i managed to find a replacement stylus for my record player on saturday in ann arbor michigan. unfortunately, the damned thing still isn't working right (anyone know anything about turntable repair?) so i had to rely on the fact that i managed to find 3 of the 5 out of print television personalities full length CDs and my newfound love of female vocalists from the 60s and 70s (lulu and claudine longet anyone?) oh and this is for my friend allie, who is being driven insane at depaul law school. oh and if teapin is reading this, your mix will be the first i send out after i finish with my xmas mixing.

Great mix, Brandt. And Fritz, I think they may have been *the* Pink Floyd during Mr. Barrett's tenure...

you're right rob. i use "the pink floyd" when putting the barrett floyd on my mixes (although i don't know why since nothing later than meddle will likely end up on any mix i make.) it was their name during the barrett era after all, so why not use it?

Indeed, they were called The Pink Floyd during Syd period.

I don't think they liked being called that - More and Atom Heart Mother were credited to The Pink Floyd, but it was a source of irritation to the band.

Very cool, Brandt. And you have every right to use *the* if you want to!

as far as i'm concerned, things sound a lot better with a buncha (possibly) extraneous "the"s thrown about. i might be tempted to go so far as to call them "the pink the floyd" or maybe just "the pink floyds." anyway...great mix, brandt (as always).
