Comment:

i started to make this tape for a classmate that wanted to know what 'indie' bands and the like were all about. upon completion i have decided to keep it for my selfish, tape whoring self. she wouldn't have appreciated it anyway.

and thank god for that right joat? this tape would kick kansas's ass, and then come back for some more.

By the way, extreme kudos to your choice of Grant Hart's "If I Told You".

it was a toss up between that and 'powerline'. i hear that the dudes in kansas are pretty good scrappers, probably a necessity when you make crap music. it seems like i always post right after you do brandt, we must be on similar skedyules.

Very fine mix & you gotta love the title! You really should dub this tape, however, and give a copy to your classmate - it's too good not to share.

i'm not trying to be snobbish, but i know that she just won't 'get it', n'est pas? if we go out dancing at some cheesy top 40 r&b/dance bar she's in heaven, so i don't think this will be her bag. i tried a similar conversion with a girl at work and i know that tape is not being appreciated. as for the trade teapin, i'll tack it on fer ya.

nice mix of really old, semi-old and new stuff.. really cool. You hit it all.. the FaustWireX thru SST & DK's thru the early 90's Paveadohchers of Polvochunk period up to some newer EnonStripes stuff.. very nice job. I would listen to this in my car a lot.
