Why South Bend - the town where I'm located (well, close enough -- I go to Notre Dame)
Why Songs from.. -- I'm sending them to my musically ignorant sister. 24 and married, she likes country after listening to years to top 40 rock. I'm trying to save her
Will it work? - I get positive feedback from her about at least 2 songs from every album...like shooting fish in a barrel.
Why do it? - Because I love it. And I have to save her from the grips from country.

Nice mixes....but its funny that you keep referring to country as bad, yet you have music by Clem Snide, Neko Case, Wilco, Will Oldham, etc.

maybe he's just referring to commericalized country. that's just a guess, and i personally don't like either kind.

Nice. Yeah, I'm also confused about your term "country" - maybe you mean country as in Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, and other shite like that? (apologies to anyone who likes that sort of stuff - it's not for me) and not "alternative" country, which is what you have on here.

No I definitely mean Alan Jackson sissy boy country. I have NO problems with good alt-country or the music of Neko Case. :)
