this is my best-songs-of-2001 mix, which has to be made now because i'll be without a burner and most of my music for the next few weeks. just the songs that make me shiver. title comes from the halifax pier.

is david barbe the bass player from sugar david barbe? i didn't know he had any solo stuff (but i really love the song where diamonds are halos...)

one and the same. he was also in a couple other bands...mercyland and buzz hungry. and now he mostly produces other people's stuff. but yeah, backburner records just released his solo album, and it's wonderful.
