Comment:

i was standing in the crowd at a showoff and juliana theory show waiting for showoff to start and listening to the terrible music they were playing. it just didn't seem appropriate for the show we were seeing so i decided to make a tape of what i would have liked listening to, or what i would have played between sets if i were running one of those shows .

hey, just curious about the student rick that you included...how did you hear about them? i'm in south bend, IN, their hometown, and graduated high school with a couple of the guys, guess they're doing pretty well!

i heard about them through a friend in cedar rapids who is like the street team guy for victory. Then i heard they were playing in iowa city like twenty minutes away from me, so i went and saw them and they were beautiful. me and my friend zarah chatted with the singer. he was astounded that we chose to see him over saves the day, who was playing 5 hours away in minneapolis that night. Lets see... 5 hours in comparison to twenty minutes. Go figure.

i was at a butchies show, and they played ani difranco in between sets. ani is good, but isn't that choice just a little too obvious?

actually, i thought the obvious ani choice would have been untouchable face, and so i didn't want it to be TOO obvious.
I thught the student rick choice was kind of obvious.
