Comment:
This is two CDs - this form system doesn't seem to accomodate multi-disc sets real well, so I had to combine the two "Your Gold Teeth" tracks on one line. They are separate on the CD.The first disc (Turn It Up) is the more upbeat tunes, and the second (Bring It Down) is more mellow. A few of the tunes are tossups as far as which disc they should be on, but after a lot of experimentation, this scheme flowed the best.

Feedback:
very nice. i like steely dan a lot, and this is some of their best. i might have put "sign in stranger" on the rockin' disc, but taken as a whole you were probably right.
Thanks Ian. That was definitely one of the tracks that could have gone either way. I tried it on the Turn It Up disc and it didn't work as well. The more deliberate tempo and the subtle harmonies of the "you zombie" section and elsewhere made it a better candidate for the Bring It Down disc.
