[See also disc two of this mix.] I went with studio material only (except for the one unplugged track at the end of disc two), it's extremely Ace-friendly (because I always thought his songs were really different), and it all but ignores the post-makeup era. Because if it ain't wearing makeup, it just ain't Kiss! It also made sense to me to go chronological.
