Comment:
pearl jam have, by now, written and performed so many songs that you can honestly say that just about every aspect of a relationship has (to some degree or another) been covered. to that end, i felt it was high-time to create a mix chronicling the beginning of a relationship to it's after-math.the above mix is in, of course, chronological order. if you know pearl jam's music well, then you'll probably be able to see the relevance of the song in that period of the relationship/break up/aftermath.
"thin air" is a song about new love, hope for the future. promising feelings.
the idea of including "footsteps" and "alone" is to indicate the anger and despair that inevitably follows when someone you love walks out on you.
"in hiding" and "it's ok" are included to indicate your dealing with the negativity and you are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
"mfc" is the journey (literal or metaphorical) you take which leads you to... "given to fly" is, simply, your rebirth.
"hard to imagine" is in there b/c #1 it's a damn good song and #2 you always see your ex after you've dealt with everything and you're okay again. perhaps she wants to come back, but after what she pulled, there's no way you could allow that. "things were different then". still, there is some regret there. she didn't *have* to cheat on you.
Feedback:
Great mix...yes, Pearl Jam are an incredible band. The "It's OK" Daughter Tag you have is amazing...very emotional.
