Comment:

Just a tape of covers I put together for something 'different'. A few of them (Springsteen's "One Headlight", White's "King Of The Road", and Cash's "Solitary Man") I much prefer to the originals (amd Luka Bloom does an amazing job turning "Dancing Queen" into something that won't make me cringe in pain), but by and large, they're covers I like of songs I like. The title (and Garth's accompanying expression in "Wayne's World") sums up nicely the effect the tape has on people in my car when I cram it in the deck.

The Jim White cover of King of the Road is probably my favorite cover ever. I saw Jim live and asked him about it, he said the label (LukaBop) almost cut it, thinking people would be offended. Nice mix.

I agree with you, re: J Cash's cover of "solitary man". Although I haven't heard pearl jam's cover of the classic H&C song, I think I'd much prefer the original - how can you mess with greatness?

is that the BNL cover of Psycho Killer or is it the Moxy Fruvous one? i could swear that BNL never covered that... of course, if i'm wrong, i'll hang myself w/ the cord from my stereo.
