Formed in 1984 from the ashes of Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons by frontman Joe Camilleri, the Black Sorrows was supposed to be nothing more than a casual, Sunday night café band — a semi-acoustic addition to the Melbourne scene, offering covers of material by the likes of Van Morrison. But you just can't tie down talent like this . . .
