Comment:

After re-reading the history of Creation records, I was compelled to make this mix, thinking that there once was a time when nu-metal did not exist and the Britons ruled all! Some bands are 'Musically-Indie' though being signed to a major label. Some are 'Technically-Indie' but don't play indie music. Some fall into neither, and are just filler. Whatever the context, this is my personal favourite of my own mixes to date.

Very nice! "Primitive Painters", "Soon" and "Headmaster Ritual" are some of my all-time favorites. Many of these bands appeared on my shoegazing mix as well.

This is a classic. MBV, House of Love, JAMC, Wire, OJ Felt, Ride and the kings of all things indie, The Fall. What can I say? 'Midges hovered over the heather'
