christmas present for my father. i'm sure you all do this sorta thing - easier (and more heartfelt! of course) to make a cd for someone than buy something, especially if you're not sure exactly what they'd like. i usually get cds too - my dad gets this, the reish of elvis costello's my aim is true and the new leonard cohen cd. he likes neil young (hence the title song), lou reed (hence the dream syndicate), you get the idea. he's also been asking me about bjork, so i stuck two of her songs on it. the rest is mostly educated guesses, and i'm usually pretty accurate. i think the only thing i ever put on a cd that he didn't like was a dinosaur jr song, but i'll let him get away with that.
